Surf Fraser Island. Kayak at Cape Tribulation. Hike to sacred Aboriginal lands. Then dive the Great Barrier Reef. In 25 days, you’ll see more of Australia than some do in a lifetime.
After losing a day crossing the Date Line, we make up for lost time by going a little overboard on the thrills. Kick things off with a surfing adventure, then ride shotgun in a four-wheel drive up to Fraser Island and camp overnight among the sand dunes. Warmed up? Time to head into bush country (a.k.a. The Outback) and get lost in the beauty and vastness of this ancient Aboriginal territory. Will you ever find your way out? A short flight to the Queensland coast helps, dropping you smack in the middle of Class III and IV rapids on the Russell River. You’re not done yet because no trip to Australia is complete without diving the world’s largest barrier reef. Ok, now you can exhale.
