Carlton grew up with a passion for the outdoors, the ocean and adventure. At the age of 19, he became a PADI Master Diver Instructor and by 23, he had earned his U.S. Coast Guard Masters license. From a young age, Carlton knew he wanted to explore the world, and left a corporate job on Wall Street to pursue his passion. In 1993, Carlton founded Broadreach with a desire to educate students through travel and experiential learning, wanting to design courses that took students out of their comfort zones and into the world.
Although the day-to-day operations are now in the capable hands of our directors and HQ team, Carlton still provides regular guidance and insight. Currently, Carlton lives in Durham with his wife Gina and daughters Peyton, Baylor and Phoebe.Read More
