Marine Biology

Broadreach marine biology adventures challenge students through hands-on exploration in rewarding environments. As they examine diverse marine ecosystems and learn alongside marine biologists and researchers, students gain a better understanding of the ocean and its creatures.

Marine biology programs are led by professionals in the field who are experienced in creating positive, meaningful learning experiences for students. Programs are available for students just starting their marine biology journeys as well as those who are experienced and ready to deepen their knowledge.

During Broadreach marine biology adventures, students will:

  • Conduct hands-on research alongside professional marine biologists.

  • Help implement sustainable initiatives in marine conservation.

  • Come face-to-face with the marine animals and corals they are studying.

  • Live and work with a small group of like-minded students (perhaps on a boat!).

  • Live and work with a small group of like-minded students.

  • Have opportunities to earn PADI dive certifications.

  • Perform service projects in meaningful parts of the world.

All students have the opportunity to earn college credit through Lesley University. Whether they choose to examine rare corals in the Caribbean, observe shark behavior in Fiji or let the sea be their classroom in Curaçao – these adventures will satisfy students’ desire for exploration and fun while strengthening their commitment to marine conservation.
