Marine Biology

Broadreach offers epic summer marine biology programs for teens.

Imagine learning about rare marine life, then jumping off your floating classroom to see your lessons come to life. If you haven’t come face-to-face with the sea creatures from your textbook, then you’re at the wrong marine biology summer camp.

Broadreach marine biology programs are an action-packed, hands-on learning adventure. Explore the ocean and its creatures under the expert guidance of oceanographers, marine scientists and conservationists. As middle school and high school students, you’ll get to study marine science in a way that few can. Hop from one island to the next while living aboard a boat, or live and work at renowned research centers. Learn about tropical marine species – and then come face-to-face with them moments later on a dive! Students will conduct hands-on research with professionals, help implement conservation initiatives in marine sciences and more – all while living and working with a group of new amazing friends!

Whether it’s swimming with tropical marine life in the Caribbean Leeward Islands, restoring and protecting coral reef nurseries in Curaçao, or getting up close to majestic sharks in Fiji, it’s hard to match the immersive experiences offered on Broadreach marine biology summer camps.

During summer marine biology adventures, students will:

  • Conduct hands-on research alongside professional marine biologists.
  • Help implement sustainable initiatives in marine conservation.
  • Come face-to-face with the marine animals and corals they are studying.
  • Live and work with a small group of like-minded students (perhaps on a boat!).
  • Have opportunities to earn PADI dive certifications.
  • Perform meaningful community projects.
