From learning the fundamentals of animal behavior in the Bahamas to assisting in surgeries in Costa Rica, Broadreach offers veterinary medicine summer programs for middle school, high school and colleges students that fit each biology background and skill level. Work alongside professional veterinarians at wildlife refuges, rescue centers and animal hospitals in the tropical paradise of Costa Rica and Bali. Gain hands-on experience in animal care, nutrition and basic care in the Bahamas. If working with animals or veterinary medicine is in your future, this summer youโ€™ll gain actual, real-world experience that will give you hands-on knowledge that no textbook can.

Earn college credits and community service hours as you learn the fundamentals of physical exams, assist local vets with spays and neuters, volunteer in dog rescue & wildlife rehabilitation centers and work with leading researchers and veterinarians in the field. Itโ€™s not all work and no play, though. Take time from your studies to enjoy the rainforest while hiking, zip lining and whitewater rafting.
