“The skill and enthusiasm the staff had truly made this experience unforgettable. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. The extra time and dedication they put into our training made all the difference. Wouldn’t have done it anywhere else, and wouldn’t have been the instructor I am today if it wasn’t for them.” Victoria, college alumna

Itinerary

Day 1-2

Prepare for your future

You’re ready to take the next step and turn your love of diving into a career. Touch down in St. Martin and head to Anse Marcel, where you’ll settle into your new home for the weeks ahead. From day one, dive into the PADI system of teaching while reviewing and refining the skills you mastered during your Divemaster. After class, there’s always time to relax with your classmates —whether it’s a swim, a stroll, or just soaking up the beachside vibes.

Day 3-8

Practice makes perfect

Now it’s all about learning how to share your passion with others. Practice different teaching techniques in the classroom, the pool, and open water, all with guidance and feedback from your Course Director. With the support (and laughter) of your teammates, you’ll sharpen your teaching style and earn your first IDC milestone: Assistant Instructor certification. Then, head into open water to keep developing your skills and prepare for the next phase.

Day 9-10

Emergency responders

Add another important credential to your journey—Emergency First Response Instructor. Refresh your first aid knowledge through real-world scenarios, then practice teaching CPR and emergency care to others. Alongside this, continue refining your classroom and in-water presentations. It’s a fast-paced few days, but also some of the most rewarding, as you see just how close you are to reaching your goal.

Day 11-13

This is it

Everything you’ve learned and practiced leads to this: your Instructor Exam. With your teammates by your side and plenty of preparation under your belt, it’s time to show the examiners what you can do. The nerves quickly turn to confidence as you demonstrate your skills and step into your new role as a PADI Instructor. Celebrate your success with your crew, knowing you’ve achieved something incredible in just a couple of weeks and opened the door to a whole new world of opportunity.
