Day 1-2

Welcome aboard to your catamaran

Hop aboard, settle into the yacht and meet your fellow crewmates and trip leaders. Our 46-foot specially equipped catamaran provides an ideal platform for diving and adventure. Our maiden voyage to Grand Case gives us the chance to learn about sailing and the language of the sea…sheet in, head up, ready about, jibe ho. Let’s go diving! Maybe it’s been a while since the last time you went diving, but after a safety and skills review and a good orientation dive, the knack for scuba will come back to you in no time.

Day 3-5

Raise the main and set the sail

Adapting quickly to life aboard, your crew shares all of the responsibilities from pumping tanks to navigating to keeping the yacht “ship shape”. We learn that conserving fresh water is a must and cooking for 12 in a yacht galley can be a challenge, but rewarding and fun. Our next sail brings us to paradise, the island of Anguilla. Although it’s within eyesight of St. Martin, the two islands couldn’t be more of a contrast. No big shopping strips, no restaurant chains, no tourist hot spots’ just you and pristine, white sand beaches. It’s the perfect respite for digging into our Emergency First Responder training, along with a little hopping from one beautiful secluded bay to the next!

Day 6-7

Dive into advanced scuba

Depart Anguilla with newly acquired skills as we set sail for Ile Fourche, Colombier and St. Barts – all a diver’s dream and the perfect location to begin our Advanced Open Water Diver training. Dive sites are abundant and loaded with tons of schooling fish, lobster hiding in the coral, sleek barracuda and a wealth of turtles. Head ashore to find fantastic beaches and the town of Gustavia, just as imagined…cool shops, a scenic harbor, mopeds racing about and classic French bakeries. Don’t miss the ice cream shop and its delicious homemade sorbet.

Day 8-9

The sunken treasures

You won’t find many tourists on Statia, but you will find lots of great diving and hiking. Experience all the wonders of Statia. Hike up the steep trail of The Quill, Statia’s towering volcano. At the rim of the crater, you’re rewarded with a vast expanse of lush rainforest to explore. Then we’ll complete our Nitrox Specialty by exploring the largest wreck in the Caribbean, the impressive 327-foot C/V Charles L. Brown, aka the ‘Charlie Brown’. Assist the marine park and other local organizations by spending an afternoon working on a community service project, after which we’re ready for an all-out reggae bash, dancing the night away at a favorite local dinner spot.

Day 10-12

Never ending adventure in Nevis and St. Kitts

The culturally rich and stunningly beautiful islands of Nevis & St. Kitts is the next stop on our tour de force. Rescue Diver training is in full swing as we make our way along the colorful coast of an island full of life, both above and below the water. Impressive wrecks and reefs fill our time in-between rescue scenarios. When not diving, the flat glassy water of Ballast Bay is perfect for honing your watersports and Pico sailing skills!

Day 13-16

Experience coral reefs as they should be

Saba awaits! A picture perfect sail brings us to an island which literally towers out of the sea like a 16th century castle. Sheer cliffs and a striking peak hint at her volcanic past, now home to dense tropical jungles and possibly the best diving in the Caribbean. Students take charge of the program as you begin the third and final phase. Start by planning dives on sites like Outer Limits, Tent Reef Wall, Twilight Zone and Man-O-War Shoals, which are even cooler than their names make them sound. Discover extraordinary pinnacles, mounts and volcanic formations. Exploring inland, we take the ‘Road that Couldn’t Be Built’ up to the Windwardside, a quaint village of tiny Dutch cottages, seemingly forgotten by time.

Day 17-21

One last stop in paradise

Our final destination brings us full circle back to the island where our adventure began, St. Martin. We aren’t ready to head home just yet so we spend the last few days seeing all that the Dutch side of St. Martin, St. Maarten, has to offer. With students planning our days, we’ll figure out just what makes this island one of the most popular in all of the Caribbean as we explore Simpson Bay, Phillipsburg, and of course all the amazing dive sites in-between. Making our last sail one to remember, we stop off at Tintamarre, an uninhabited natural reserve with one of the most beautiful beaches you’ve ever seen. We’ll have some fun wakeboarding and skiing before we prepare to say goodbye. Around a beach campfire, we’ll laugh endlessly about the fun we’ve had and reflect on all the skills we’ve learned in such a short amount of time.
