A word from each member of Anne B Moon and a photo
|
We received this email yesterday from Anne B Moon. They write to fill us in on the events from the past few days. Sounds like the adventures are continuing.
Captain Cullen, Dive Instructor Claire and Divemaster Jordan are really enjoying spending this trip with the UDA24 crew. There is such a diverse mix of people in the group, each bringing their own particular humor and jokes. These are now becoming group inside jokes that are even being mimed underwater! After a great time in Saba; diving, community service and a long beautiful hike up Mt. Scenery, we are now on our way to Nevis. The crew are taking turns on the helm, and sometimes throwing in a few tacks as they sail close to the wind. Tomorrow we start the Rescue diver course in a calm bay with a palm tree lined beach, Nevis. We also had eight dolphins riding our bow wave as we sailed passed St. Kitts.
Here’s what the crew has to say, each member was able to get his or her hands on the computer and write something.
Abby: I am doing fine, all my scuba equipment is in working order and has shown no sign of failing so far, knock on wood. We are half way through our trip and although I miss certain people and my cat, I am having a wonderful time. When it is over, I am not sure how I will feel! Probably giddy, happy yet sad.
Derek: Hi everyone, life is great in the Caribbean. Diving is the best here and the weather rocks. Today we are going to Nevis after a short stop in St. Kitts. The natives are nice too and spared our lives after we sacrificed our left hands (Joking!). But other than that everything is great.
Bart: It is difficult to know that this trip is over halfway to the end. I am just now becoming familiar with life on a yacht. The diving has been spectacular. We are en route to Nevis with a supply (reprovision) stop in St. Kitts. This 10-14 hour sail is the most peaceful even I have ever experienced. Thank you mom and dad.
Ashley: Hi, Chelsea and family. I am having a great time scuba diving, sailing and just having fun. We just left Saba, it’s my favorite island so far. Last night we did a night dive, I saw barracudas, sharks and lobsters. Please feed Henry Catt and I’ll call soon, I’m having a great time. Love you guys.
Alison: Hi mom, dad and Jessica. Everything is going fine. We spent the last three days at Saba, and now we are on our way to Nevis. The diving has been really great and I like the people on my boat a lot. I miss you guys and I’ll see you soon.
Andy: Hey family, right now we are on our way to Nevis after spending a wonderful time in Saba. This trip has been awesome and I will be upset to see it end.
Brandon: Hi mom, dad and Kyle. I’m fine and am having a great time. We are currently on our way to Nevis form Saba, which was beautiful. The kids are great and are real nice. We have had a lot of fun and looking forward to Nevis.
Lindsay: Hi mom, dad, Rob and Ryan. We spent the past three days at Saba. We dove at different sites, Man O War shoals, Torrens Point, Hot Springs and Tent reef wall. On the 23rd we went to shore and worked with Jungle Jim clearing a path around the island for community service. After a hard morning we relaxed at the Saba carnival and ended our stay with a night dive.
Bre: Hey mom, dad, Trip and Chel. The Caribbean is so beautiful and the diving is amazing. Right now we’re on our way to Nevis from Saba, a 12-hour sail! I am pretty much sleeping through most of it so I don’t get seasick again, but what I have seen is amazing. I wish this could go on forever.
Santiago: Hey familia, how’s life in Mexico? Here it’s great, tons of diving, sailing and fun. We’ve seen sharks and stuff. People are great here, the boat is fantastic, the weather perfect and the scenery beautiful, it couldn’t be better. Bye.
Andy: I’M LOVING THE TRI
