Diving Hotspot

Day 22
So, how are things? This is the L to the O to the D for August 7… Austin! Everyone woke up to my beautiful face and oatmeal with honey and bananas this morning. We only had one dive scheduled for today, so everyone headed down to the dive shop a little later than usual and we were allowed to sleep in a bit.
Hotspot was the chosen destination for today which everyone was excited about because last time it was a blast. Some of us danced underwater while others snapped photos of trumpetfish and found several nudibranchs. The dive was pretty chill with some people seeing schools of fish and a lone shark that cruised over the reef at 20 feet with unassuming authority.
Instead of heading to a beach for lunch, the group went to the Gizo Hotel instead. Being Sunday, our options were quite limited. We were served ham, bacon, and chicken sandwiches with huge plates of French fries which everyone shared. One of us ate nine sandwiches!
With full bellies and the entire afternoon free, we decided to play game of volleyball. This was an intense battle of the sexes in which the boys won, but the girls lost with far more class and style than any of the boys could possibly demonstrate. With a little chill time on our hands some people chose to play cards or napped and just enjoyed a day without lots of scheduling and commitments.
Dinner was eaten at Paradise Lodge. It consisted of conch cakes, sweet potatoes, and fish. Dinner was followed by card games. The day is slowly ending and I am off to chat before bed.
