A colorful day...

Day 6
Bula! It’s your LOD for today, Austin. Today was amazing! A 6 o’clock wake-up call was made for happy campers who wanted to call those that funded this trip, the parents! We couldn’t do it without you guys. Kisses!
After an early arrival at the dive shop, the two boats set off for Rainbow Reef. On the first, hour-long dive, Alex, Leland, Kristin, Nicky, Greg, James, and I saw a seven-foot manta ray. To me, a seven-foot manta is pretty big, but the know-it-all Divemastah Isoa informed us that it was probably only a baby manta. Morning tea was held on the same island as the day before, so no one could resist the urge to play volleyball once again. The boys beat the girls in a shut out match of two games to none.
After an hour, we embarked once again on our separate boats for more drift diving on Rainbow Reef! Monica’s boat, consisting of Harrison, Zane, Kimmy, Chelsea, David, and Hannah, saw a white-tipped reef shark.
Exhausted from swimming against the current, everyone was ready to take some time off… by painting bus stops! The beautiful colors chosen by the charity groups didn’t appeal to some Broadreachers, so Kimmy, Chelsea, Kristin, and I decided that stripes and polka-dots would look much prettier than plain blue and green walls. The other painters, instead of sprucing up their stop with designs, thought that Nicky would be far more attractive if he was the color of a Smurf. Everyone here obviously knows how to make their community service time much more enjoyable.
We all headed back to Bibi’s, some of us more blue than others, and got ready for dinner. Kimmy dominated in a game of Egyptian Rat Screw while Leland and I read a little HP (Harry Potter for those of you not familiar with our abbreviations). Dinner was held at Tramonto’s, where we were served delectable chicken and potato salad. Yum. Now we’re going to bed. Be on the lookout for tomorrow’s LOD—Harry! Love to everyone back home! Austin Van Tine
