In This Corner

How about 1000 ways to live for a change. Maybe being with your very best friends, maybe eating your favorite foods, maybe scuba diving in Belize? Lets go with the scuba for now. Even being a simple introduction to our life style for the next 3 weeks it is automatically in the top memories of all our lives.

Is everyone still asleep? Did they go home? Nope, everyone was starving! They all rushed to the table earlier then any teenager would… most teenagers sleep through breakfast so to have them early was evidence that something amazing was going to happen soon. Twas the classic Belizean breakfast of fry jacks, eggs, beans, and fruit that made us dart to the dinning area. We set off on our dive book reading and studying, such a silly book. Michael finding quotes such as, “You probably realized you can’t breathe under water by now.” Or Sarah’s “your primary dive location may be unavailable due to poor weather conditions, speedboat races, or your ex-spouse being there…” They just kept coming. They also made boring book work a fun group activity!

FINALLY we were done and could get in the water! Everyone ran to get their heavy heavy equipment and was back in minutes ready to go. However, there was one more thing that had to be done, the gear talk. Learning to hook everything up and preparing it all for depth took only 20 minutes! It seemed to come naturally to everyone! Josephine being the first to jump in already looked pro. Then one by one we each hopped in and began our first dive lesson. Sinking to the murky bottom we quickly learned each precious dive skill, clearing regulators, clearing masks, helping a fellow diver with no oxygen. Batabing bataboom just like that each person knew what to do and how to do it, no need for second tries here!

Completing all we could for the day we unfortunately got out of the water and our scuba gear, washing the gear and our selves of salt water. We went to dinner, of either fish or chicken, and told our favorite jokes and shared our favorite stories of high school senior pranks. Next: BOCCI BALL! Teams of Mia and Victoria, Abbie and Josephine, Michael and I, and Sarah and Chelsea competed for winner of the first game. Mia and Victoria our victors (no pun intended).
Well time to hit the sack. Miss all
-Cooper
