Fiji Sunshine!
We were in for a “pleasant” surprise when we were awoken at 6:00 AM, sharp. We were out on the water prepared for our shark dive a mere hour and a half later. Today we had two special guests joining us on our dives. Two of the instructors from the other Fiji and South Pacific trip joined us, and made a great addition to our dive group. During the dives some of us were lucky enough to catch a falling shark tooth, fresh out of the mouth of a bull shark, and others found some strewn on the coral.
The afternoon was spent mostly reviewing and studying for the impending midterm. We had a great group review session and game where we competed for the ultimate prize, candy! It got quite intense. We answered questions like, “What is the scientific name for the Tiger Shark?” or, “Name and describe the three most common types of shark reproduction.” We are well prepared for the test tomorrow and all know that we will do great!
We are also very much looking forward to our afternoon at the beach tomorrow once we finish our midterm and the hope for more of sun to break the last few days rainy spell. All in all, it was more of a relaxed day and we needed after the intense day of dancing, painting, and piggyback races we had the day before at Galoa.
