Bon Voyage

Bon Voyage
We are having a great time chilling on our last night in the Caribbean. We’re back at the pad in St. Maarten getting ready to go home to our normal lives and have Caribbean withdrawal symptoms. We have so many great memories from this trip, and all of our lives have been changed. This has been a growing experience for all of us, whether it was through diving, academics, sailing, or social skills. Some of our most fun moments were sitting at the dinner table on Statia playing games and doing our “family squeeze”, communal showers, prune parties for those of us who had some issues…, goldbond baths, GUSTAVO!!, Mike’s brave aqua dumps, shooting stars, checking the transom, sleeping under the stars (and sometimes rain), Finding Nemo brownie night, our amazing weather for the first 2 and a half weeks until Will jinxed it, nurse shark feeding frenzy, Mike and Cody’s shark riding experience, Man O’ War Shoals amazing reef with the tiny juvenile trunkfish that Anna and Ki spotted, Amy’s sweet ninja dive, Will’s amazing engine repair, sailing with the striped dolphins, Ki getting pummeled by waves on the bow, hermit crab races, doing some sweet hikes and seeing some sweet scenery, penetrating Charlie Brown, Emma’s trumpetfish caressing, Bear Grillz Cody, Andrea chumming the water with Amy and Will to find sharks, Mike freaking out about the shark suckers when we were doing dishes, Rachel’s expressions to everything, and the amazing sea turtle moment when the green turtle swam up to Nikki! All of these moments have been put together by all of us, and they mean something special to all of us. If you mention any of these moments to any of us, we will definitely be able to tell you all about it.
Some favorite quotes:

Regulators, mount up.
Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy, but here’s my number so call me maybe.
Racks on racks on racks, stacks on stacks on stacks.
The eight of us are now extremely close after living in such close quarters for 25 days. We have had some tough moments, but none of them have ever really been negative. We learned how to deal with a variety of different situations and to be flexible with anything that comes our way. Let’s just say “Caribbean time”.
An inspiring quote for everyone from our lovely dive instructor, Amy Kelley:
“Let’s why not our lives”
Best of luck to everyone, and we all sincerely hope to stay in touch.
