Costa Rica & Panama Primate Studies

Student Teachers
Hello everyone! Today the Broadreach students became the teachers as they joined our good friends at Kids Saving the Rainforest in the annual primate camp for children. They played monkey related games and taught little kids about the 4 different species of primates in Costa Rica. The crowd favorite was Krazy Kyle, whose energy and Finding Nemo swim trunks made the day even more exciting.
Later on we bid farewell to our friends at Hotel Mono Azul and moved on to our next location, Blue Banyan Inn. There we met Barbara and Jim, the wonderful people who run BBI and the sanctuary for KSTR. Barabara’s parrot, Tiki, danced as we sang Livin La Vida Loca and Hound Dog for him. After touring the grounds and sanctuary, everyone had to remember 12 monkey names before they could have their dinner. I named Nina, Darwin, Ninja, Halle Berry, Wolfgang, Little Junior, Georgia, Hector, Hugo, Hershey, Ying, and Yang to get my plate of spaghetti. We look forward to spending our final 4 days working with the monkeys in this beautiful place.
Hasta Luego!
