In places like the French West Indies, Ecuador and Peru, our immersion programs will show you just how valuable learning and speaking a foreign language can be. Not only can it help you understand the nuances of other cultures and customs, it also allows you to make deeper connections with people all over the world as you work together on service projects that tackle the biggest challenges of your generation. Students who take part in our language adventures also discover the joy and thrill of just speaking. For a language student, few things are more gratifying than being able to order an entire meal in another country’s native tongue, or negotiate with vendors at an outdoor market, or talk soccer with a local school kid—daily life stuff. While all of our language programs offer a solid foundation of traditional and accredited classroom instruction, it’s the real-world experiences that take place beyond the classroom that truly set us apart. Our students leave more able to communicate in their chosen language, and more equipped to build upon this foundation through future travel and cultural exploration.
