Culture and History

The beauty and richness of other cultures will change how you see the world.

The more you travel and explore, the more worldly and aware you become. At Broadreach, we define worldliness as having experienced new environments and how others live, think and create. Our culture & history programs will show you the true beauty and richness of other people - their traditions, languages, religions and art. In the hillsides of northern Thailand, in the tiny villages that dot the Spanish countryside, at a spiritual ashram nestled in the forest of northern India, we learn what makes people unique and discover the human qualities that bind us all together. Come spend a few weeks mastering French, Spanish or basic Mandarin. Hike to a temple dedicated to a Hindu snake goddess. Learn how to make traditional Basque meals. Practice ancient Chinese tye-dye techniques and experience Chinese drumming, song and dance. And return home an enlightened, global traveler.

Below you’ll find a list of culture & history programs, all of which include community service hours. In addition, many of these programs include the option to earn college credit through Lesley University. Use the filters on the left to further sort by area of interest, destination or schedule.
