If Mars is the red planet, Marsa Alam is the Red Sea planet. The vivid coral that exist here, and the marine life that play and feed off its reefs and wrecks are like nothing else on Earth. Blue spotted rays sweep the ocean floor. Giant pufferfish are as curious as you are. Pastel-colored soft coral is pinker than pink itself. Marsa is a Bedouin village in southeast Egypt, where the Arabian Desert meets the Red Sea, and where you encounter incredible diving.
Head into the desert led by a traditional Bedouin guide, and make a pilgrimage to St. Catherine’s monastery at the foot of Mt. Sinai. Keep your eyes peeled for Moses as you explore the monastery’s rich history. Ok, time for your camel to find a drink at a nearby watering hole, and time for you to find water so you can resume diving. Next stop: the Sinai Peninsula. Head to Sharks Bay, north of Sharm-el-Sheikh and set off on a live-aboard dive boat bound for the Straits of Tiran.
“I've traveled to the Caribbean, Egypt, and Fiji and the Solomon Islands with Broadreach, and I've absolutely loved all of my experiences.” — Lauren Torres Hollywood, FL
Everything you’ve seen until now is eclipsed by what you experience at Ras Mohammed National Park. Located the southern end of the Sinai Peninsula, overlooking the Suez Canal, this protected area is home to more than 220 species of coral and countless starfish and sea urchins, and more.
