Caribbean Grenadines Advanced Scuba Voyage

Map

The seas are calm. The breeze, steady. The underwater visibility, bottomless. The Windward Islands in the Lesser Antilles offer the kinds of conditions that sailors and divers live for. They’re also ripe with opportunities to build confidence, lead others and learn what it means to be part to a team. From St. Lucia, set a compass heading toward the spice island of Grenada and cast off. Check to make sure your scuba tanks are full. Then lean back and let the wind carry you.

After diving St Lucia’s stunning reefs and exploring its towering Pitons (they’re impossible to ignore), island hop to Wallilabou Bay on St. Vincent, where Pirates of the Caribbean 2 was filmed. If only Captain Jack Sparrow had brought his scuba gear. St. Vincent, the northernmost and largest of the 32 islands that make up the Grenadines, is endowed with hiking trails, an active volcano, unspoiled beaches, rainbow-swiped waterfalls and yes, more dive sites.

“He loved the independence of planning each day… Dives, navigation, and even chores were an adventure!” — Bob and Kate Rosso, Hailey, ID

The Grenadines are uncomplicated. They’ve kept life simple avoiding endless stretches of tourist hotels, fast food chains, and nightclubs. Ditto on Bequia and the Tobago Cays. Experience a bygone Caribbean era as you create a new one filled with skills, certifications, fun and adventure.
