Not all roads that lead to becoming a Divemaster follow the same map. While the PADI Divemaster program is a straightforward training path, blending academics with simulations, the Divemaster Intern Program is unique in that you work with actual students. Phase I takes place on St. Martin and St. Barts. Candidates live on support boats, undergoing hard training and dive skill demonstration. Learn dive theory, attend navigation and rescue skill workshops and assist instructors.
Time to put it all together out in the real world, with real students. Candidates shift to Broadreach program boats where they take on a support, yet leadership-focused role. Assist the resident scuba instructor and sailing skipper with all aspects of the program. As you sail to St. Kitts, Nevis, Statia and Saba, you discover multiple opportunities to lead and inspire a group of eager teens. You are rewarded when one of them demonstrates a skill learned from watching you.
