COURSE DESCRIPTION
A three week language immersion course designed so students will achieve a conversational level of Spanish and an appreciation of the Costa Rican and Nicaraguan cultures. Students will experience different aspects of these two countries through adventure activities, living in a home stay while attending language school in Orosi, Costa Rica, visiting Granada, Nicaragua and finally working with children in an orphanage on a four day of the Island of Ometepe in Nicaragua.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
- Students will learn the appropriate structure and vocabulary to describe themselves and their location.
- While getting to know their language instructor and other students in the class, they address questions such as:
- Who am I?
- Where am I from?
- Where am I?
- What is this place like?
- Students will start to learn structure and vocabulary that will enable them to interact with others using formal and familiar speech.
- They will begin to observe local culture and participate in conversation activities that will further enable them to describe themselves and others, and to understand what life is like in Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
