COMMUNITY SERVICE

Through service, we gain a more meaningful connection to the cultures and communities we explore while taking an active role to address important global issues that impact the communities. While in Belize, we work with La Loma Luz Hospital and the local community on health education campaigns. The projects give us the opportunity to use the methods we learn in class to make real life contributions to the health of the local community.

  • Assist with medical paperwork
  • Take local community members’ vitals and blood pressure
  • Participate in a weeklong campaign to better the health of the locals by educating and promoting healthier lifestyles
