At Broadreach and Academic Treks, we understand that the success of our
programs depends on the quality of our leaders. We take great
care in selecting our staff from hundreds of applicants. Our instructors
are a top-notch group of individuals that are energetic, outgoing, genuine,
fun, well-educated and well-traveled, with solid experience
and a love for working with teens.
We offer a wide variety of programs all over the world, each offering some combination of SCUBA diving, sail training, marine biology, cultural immersion, language immersion, community service and wilderness experiences. Every program requires staff with a different set of skills and backgrounds. Broadreach and Academic Treks hires individuals who are highly motivated to teach and work with today's youth. Our staff includes experiential education professionals, college professors, professional scuba instructors, marine biologists, language instructors, and licensed sailing masters. Along with the necessary hard-skills required for each program, Broadreach instructors must have a special understanding of group dynamics, teamwork and leadership development.
